Pre-School Graduation

Tuesday May 24

Well Stetson has officially Graduated from his first year of Pre-school.  This school year has flown by for me.  I'm not sure I'm ready for my kids to grow up.  He did such a great job.  They sang all their favorite songs, performed the pledge and then Mrs. Amber put together a video of them from through out the year.

Stetson award was the most entertaining child in class.  He is very active and outgoing.
He loved Mrs. Amber and always was asking if he could go to school even on the days he had off.  We will miss Mrs. Amber next year considering she decided that this was her last year.

Pet Scan

Wednesday May 18

Well Cody was back for another Pet Scan which he was not very thrilled about, but knew it was a necessity.  These usually only have to be done every 6 months, but considering that Cody's tumor counts kept going up they wanted to get a good picture of what was happening.  Cody said the test its self is not bad its the process you have to go through before the test.  He has to be in a dark room by himself for an hour and a half with nothing but his thoughts.

Before this test Cody and I have made the decision that its now time to try and get accepted to MD Anderson in Houston Texas.  They are rated number one in both Colon cancer and Liver Cancer.  We feel that we are coming to a road block here and maybe just maybe they may have some different ideas.  We can only hope and pray.  We are in the process of submitting all his paper work and tests.

We were able to get the results to his test the very next day and are extremely grateful for that.  Cody's colon is still clean YEAH!!! His liver has grown alittle more since the last Pet scan in Feb and his tumor on his Pelvic bone has grown also.  They also found a spot on the bottom of his spin and several limp nodes near his liver.

Dance Comp

Saturday May 14

Well this is the last of the competitions for this year. The girls have had such a great time together.  We really did have a great team for their ages, but I may be a little bias since it is my daughters team.

The girls had such a great time behind stage as they did on if you notice in the pictures they had a great time playing games.
I'm still trying to figure out my camera so the pictures of their dances didn't come out so great.
One of Tenlies favorite thing was to stay for the awards.  We were just so grateful that they got trophy's or they may have been disappointed.

It has been so fun to watch these cute girls grow through out the year.  I'm so proud of our little Tinkerbell you have grown so much and have blossomed into quit the dancer.

Round 4 of Chapter 4

Wednesday May 11

Well another week of chemo once again is here.  Cody is getting a little more fatigue and his hip has been giving him fits.  I don't believe now that the one shot of Radiation took care of the spot in his pelvic bone.  You can see when he gets up to walk or move that he is in a lot of pain.  He has been trying to blow it off by saying its just cause he's been sitting on his wallet.  We all know what the real reason is, but don't want to believe it.

It seams that he sleeps a lot lately which is OK for us.  This past year we have been so blessed to have his strength so good that know its hitting home on how sick he truly is.
Cody's tumor counts again have jumped to 11.1 so now we know this chemo has not been working.  So its time to step back and punt again.  It jumped 1.1 points .  Dr. Rich wants to do another Pet Scan even though we just did one in Feb.  This way we can see exactly what is active again or if there are any new spots.

Tenlies Dance Competition

Saturday April 30

Today Tenlie had another competition this one was up in Ogden.  So instead of having to get up super early we decided to go stay the night up there and let the kids swim.  We left Friday right after Cody got his pump taken off and stopped for dinner.   On our way up Cody started to feel sick and didn't move fro the bed the rest of the night.  the kids had a great time at the pool which I forgot to take my camera too.  Then the next morning off to the competition we went.

Tenlie has really enjoyed performing this year and has had a great time at the competitions.  I just love how innocent they are and have no clue on what was really going on.  As long as they have a trophy to take home they are just tickled pink.

We really do have a great group this year.  They have done such a great job and have placed every time.

Round 3 of Chapter 4

Wednesday April 27

Well here we are again another day of chemo.  We are getting really good at this routine.  Our year mark is approaching quickly and its hard to believe we will have been at this a year.  Cody has been feeling really good considering everything he has gone through.  We really have been so blessed to have him in such great shape these past months.  His side affects have been really mild considering what they could be.
I'm so grateful for smart phones they have kept Cody very occupied during his chemo sessions.  Watch out if he invited you for word feud or scramble he doesn't do just one game at a time ,but has several going.

It was really fun this time cause Cody's parents had the kids and had to run to some appointments down by the hospital so they stopped in to say hi.

The kids really enjoy coming down and seeing exactly what it is that dad is doing.

Cody's tumor count is continuing to climb which is not what we want to see.  The Dr. is getting concerned, but doesn't want to abort a treatment to early.  We have decided to go forward with another treatment and see from there what its doing.  Sometimes it takes a little bit for it to start taking control.  His tumor count this time is 9.9 so a 1.6 climb.

Easter Picnic

We had so many fun parties for Easter just wished it was a little warmer.  We have a great neighborhood in our ward that puts on the cutest hunt for the kids and this year we got pizza and rootbeer floats after so we could all visit with each other.

Then on Easter Sunday we had a picnic at Cody's parents house.  The kids have such a great time with their cousins.  They had so many eggs they didn't know what to do them.  We had a great time this past weekend getting together with friends and family.  We also enjoyed reflecting back on our Savior and all that he did for us.

Easter 2011

Easter 2011

Saturday April 23

Tonight we got together with my sister Kellie and her boy McKay to have a little Easter get together.  Since this is the big weekend our family goes to the moab jeep safari we decided to have a little fun ourselves.  The kids were able to decorate eggs.  We choose the safari theme this year.

Sunday April 24

Easter morning was very fun.  We have the late church so the kids were able to enjoy their baskets before having to get ready.  Tenlie found her basket first and then Stetson.  Since the weather was not as great as we hoped for we had to do the hiding indoors.

(Tenlies Basket)
(Stetsons Basket)

Stetson was all smiles about his new 2 wheel scooter.  He wanted one really bad.

After we went roller skating as a family Tenlie had been asking for her own pair and she was thrilled to see the Easter Bunny brought her a pair.

They could not wait to get outside and try out their new toys.  If we would have let them they would have stayed out there even in the rain.

I always get the kids Easter outfits for church and this year I just couldn't get into it.  I don't know if it was just the fact I didn't care for any of the stuff in the stores or I just didn't want to spend the money.  Needless to say the Tues before Easter I start feeling bad that I have not got anything.  So I had some material in the basement that I liked so I decided to take on the project and try and make one.  I was so excited about her dress this year it turned out so stinking cute.

And of course Stetson got his own tie.
