Round Seven

Wednesday September 15

Here we go on our second half. Cody was a little nervous coming into it. He wasn't sure why, but he just didn't feel good. I guess listening to your instincts isn't so bad he must have known something wasn't right.

Cody had a reaction to this oxaliplatin this is the drug that gives him the cold sensitivity. Normally when he is given this drug he starts the sweats and goes pail looking. This hasn't happened though the last several times. They say that after a while your body can form a sensitivity to some drugs and that's exactly what happened. I noticed that he was starting to go blotchy and red spots on his face. Cody said he was feeling fine so I didn't think anything of it. I looked at him again and his face was quit red. Again I asked him if he was feeling o.k and he insisted he was fine. At this time I'm getting concerned and I'm watching him very closely. Not even minutes later his face was BRIGHT RED. I mean as red as a tomato and started to form welts on his hand. The nurse noticed about the same time I did and immediately stopped his pump. They had to hurry and get his oxygen levels along with his blood pressure. He went into epileptic shock. I guess you can actually die in the chair if you don't catch it in time. So it took a while to get everything under control, but it came back after a bag of benadryl and a steroid. Then they were able to start the oxaliplatin up again. He did fine with it the second time around, but it was lights out after he was given the benadryl.

We will try again in round eight and they will start with the benadryl first and hope he doesn't have a reaction again. If so we will have to pull him off and reevaluate the situation on where we go from there.

Stetson's First Day of Pre-School

Tuesday September 14

So I know Pre-School started a week earlier, but we thought what the heck Disneyland sounds more fun and its only pre-school.

Today is Stetsons First day of Pre-School. I'm not sure how I'm feeling about this my baby can't be this big. O.k deep down I'm kind of excited for my 3 hrs alone.

Stetson was not sure if he wanted to go, but when he found out that his aunt Corie was going to be helping out in his class and that three other friends from nursery was there also he was just fine.

He had to try out his bike with his back pack on. Don't ask me he's a little funny.

I just have to say good luck to his Teacher this little guys a hand full. He will always keep you laughing.

Disneyland part 2

So Disneyland is one of our favorite places I tend to take a lot of pictures. So be aware there are a lot in this entry.

I was so fun to see Princess Tiana this time. She has here own little show in New Orleans now that we totally enjoyed.

Our Next stop was Critter Country where we love our 4 acher wood friends.

Splash Mountain has to be one of my favorite rides.

The picture says it all Cassidy and Tenlie are awesome troopers.

Tenlie was a good sport she kept insisting that she didn't wet her pants it was the ride. You have to love water rides.

Tenlie kept insisting she was not going on that elevator ride, but after a lot of convincing she finally gave in and went. She made it very clear after wards that was the last and only time. She kept her arm through mine and covered her eyes with that hand and would peek ever so often. We are in the middle row on the right. If you look close her hand is not far from her eyes.

Her dad was so proud of her for going on the ride he took her to the games in California Adventure and let her play these were her prizes she won. after that she was all smiles.

Here we are camped out for the World Of Color show. This show is amazing I think its one of my favorites now.

We had to be there about an hour early so Tenlie was having fun snapping pictures.

Here is some pictures I was able to take before my camera died on me.

Today Tenlie was supper excited cause she was able to see Tinkerbell and her Fairy Friends. Stetson was a little bashful once he got up to them. He kept telling us he was going to kiss Tinkerbell.

So We got Tenlie convinced on going on Space Mountain with us. She was not sure about it, but we got her on. Just as we start and are climbing the hill for take off the ride brakes down. We were into the ride a ways and oing up hill. So we are on a incline not being able to see anthing cause this ride is in the dark. She was not sure about this now. Then the lights come on and they announce that they will becoming around to help us our of our seats. Now she is starting to freak out and is mad at us.

Latter that night we were able to convince her to try it again. She agreed only if Grandma would come along with her.

Needless to say she loved it as long as she was able to hang on to Grandma for dear life.

So this was our last day at disneyland and we were very sad, but had a very special day. The kids and I gave Cody Breakfast at Goofys Kitchen for his birthday. My parents woke up that morning exausted so they ended up staying back and resting so it was just our little family. We had a ball cody and I felt like this was the best part of the trip.

After Breakfast we hit the park and sspent time with the kids in Toon Town. It was fun having the four of us together just enjoying life.

My kids have decited its fun taking pictures expecially Tenlie so they both had to take one.

The next stop was Fantsy Fair. Tenlie loves the princess Stetson was a good sport. He likes to flirt with them. The longest part is the line up to see them. Cody and Stetson got to go on Stetsons favorite part of the park. The train that goes all the way around the park.

My Parents Joined up with us for lunch and then went on a few rides. After that they were done and offered to take the kids back to the condo to go swimming while Cody and I had a few hours to ourselves at the park.

This was such a great vacation we totally enjoyed ourselves. I was so greatful that we were able to share this time as a family and my parents were able to join us. My kids just adore them and to have them there with us ment the world to those two little ones and myself.
